Rental Assistance

Family Promise of the Verdugos partners with the City of Burbank to oversee the Emergency Rental Assistance program
under the Community Development Block Grant – CARES fund. These funds are used to provide emergency rent assistance to low-income renters who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. Since July 2020, Family Promise has provided rental assistance to over 200 of Burbank households. 

Any interested parties must contact the City of Burbank Call Center to complete a preliminary application to see if you qualify. The Application Call Center may be reached at (818) 238-5180, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. 

Eligibility includes:
1. You must be a resident of Burbank,
2. You must show proof of loss of employment and income due to COVID-19,
3. You must have an active lease and provide proof that you are behind on rent. 

Households qualify for up to $800/month for no more than three months - a total of $2,400.00.
